Chicago now Sales-Tax Capital, and suburban cook co. not far behind

Chicago tax tops major cities

Chicago’s overall sales tax wil stand at 10.25 percent, the highest of any major U.S. city. In suburban Cook, the sales tax would be a minimum of 9 percent. By comparison. the rates in New York and Los Angeles are below 8.5 percent. (read more)
